~ CITY ENGINEER TO ABATE THE NUISANCE OF
DRY ANC DRYINr WEEDS THAT EXIST ON CERTAIN
PARCELS OF LAND Ih: THE CITY CF LYNdWOOD
WHEREAS, +he City Council of the Cit•,• of Lynwood,
Resolution No. 8v-51, relating to the abatement of dry and drying
weeds, stubble, brush, letter or other flammable material, cn certain
parcels of land in the City of Lynwood: and,
WHEREAS, due notice was given to destroy such weeds pursuant
to the provisions of Section °56;'.1 of the Government Codes and,
WHEREAS, the City Cauncil of the City of Lynwaad t-sas
considered all the facts and is fully informed in the matter, and
they have acquired .jurisdiction to proceed and perform the war k.
or removal of said nuisance.
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED thai_ any oG~ectians
presented tc said City Cauncil are here`uy overruled, and that the
Director of PuGlic Warks.'City Engineer of the City of L=r•nwood be
and he is hereGy instructed to abate the nuisance described in
said Resolution No. S;~-O1, by having said nuisances referred to
removed, and he and his assistants are hereby e:;pressly
authorized to enter upon private property far that purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an;.r property owners sha21
have the right to have any s~_tch nuisance removed and abated at
his oa~n e;:pense, provided such work is done prior to the time the
worF:: is done Gy the Director of Public Work:slCity Engineer.
If tl-,e work is done by the property owner, no charge shall Ge made
Gy the City of Lynwaad.
This resolution shall take effect immediately ~_tpor. its
adoption.

abatement cf weed nuisance on certain lots in said City, which

itemized report, in writing, showing the cost of such abatement
