A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNW00D
REQUESTING THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION
COMMISSION, PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54774.3,
TO RECONSIDER ITS SPHERE OF INFLUENCE DETERMINA?'7l1N OF
APRIL 11, 1973
WHEREAS, on April 11, 1973, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County of Los Angeles took action to designate as the sphere of influence for the
City of Los Angeles the unincorporated territory delineatedin Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood seeks to annex the subject unincorporated terri-
tory, and such territory has been placed in the City of Los Angeles' sphere of influence;
and
WHEREAS, Section 54774.2 of the Government Code provides that a local agency
by resolution may request the Local Agency Formation Commission to review or amend
adopted spheres of influence;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council requests that the Local Agency Formation
Commission conduct a public hearing, pursuant to Government Code Section 54774.2, to
reconsider the sphere of influence for the City of Lynwood.
Section 2. The City Council requests that the unincorporated territory
designated in Exhibit "A" be placed in the sphere of influence of the City of Lynwood.
