A. Call to Order – 5:30 PM
B. Roll Call
The City of Tiffin City Council met in a Special Session held at the Tiffin City Hall Council Chambers on
Wednesday March 13, 2019. Mayor Steve Berner called the meeting to order at 5:32 PM. Upon roll being
called the following Council Members were present: Jim Bartels, Al Havens, Mike Ryan, Eric Schnedler.
Absent: Peggy Upton ( Arrived at 5:36 PM) Other Present: City Administrator Doug Bold, City Clerk
Ashley Platz and City Attorney Crystal Raiber and others.
Motion to approve the agenda by Ryan.
Second by Schnedler.
All ayes, agenda approved.
C. Communications and Reports:
1. Unscheduled – None
D. Closed Session
Motion to Adjourn from Regular Session into Closed Session in Accordance with Iowa Code Chapter
21.5(1)(c): to discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is
imminent where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of the
governmental body in that litigation by Havens.
Second by Bartels.
Roll Call: Havens, Bartels, Schnedler, Ryan. Absent: Upton (Arrived at 5:36 PM) All ayes adjourned in to
closed session at 5:34 PM
Upton Arrives at 5:36 PM.
Motion to adjourn from Closed Session into Regular Session by Havens.
Second by Ryan.
Roll Call: Havens, Bartels, Upton, Schnedler, Ryan. All ayes adjourned to regular session at 6:25 PM
Opened the meeting back to the public, no public present.
E. Adjournment
Motion to adjourn by Ryan.
Second by Schnedler.
All ayes, meeting adjourned at 6:26 PM
