Council Work Session – 6:30 PM
A. Roll Call
The City of Tiffin’s City Council held a work session on March 19, 2019 at the Tiffin City Hall Council
Chambers. Mayor Steven Berner called the meeting to order at 6:32 PM. Upon roll being called the following
Council Members were present: Jim Bartels, Al Havens, Eric Schnedler, Peggy Upton (Arrived at 6:34 PM.)
Absent: Mike Ryan. Others present City Clerk Ashley Platz, Building Official Brian Shay, City Engineer Ben
Carhoff, City Attorney Crystal Raiber and others.
B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval
Motion to approve Schnedler.
Second by Havens.
All ayes, motion carried.
C. Discussion and Review of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) Proposal – Community Cat League
Discussion: Jo Borntreger and Charisma Tandy presented their proposal to begin the TNR. Traps are barrowed
from neighboring communities. Discussion on the process how the trapping is handled. Spring and Fall season
is best for trapping for cats.
Request a City liaison and host training sessions here at City Hall. Problem neighborhoods that would benefit.
New organization incorporated last fall, they are still looking for a place that is open for the trapping days.

Rodney Walls – cable box covers his water line. Railroad Tracks – Noise is excessive. Requests to put
a stop sign at the railroad crossing.
Bill Stockman – speaker system requested.
Nick & Nathan Faselt – quick question regarding acre plus lots with septic but on city water. The
Council consensus that septic would not be allowed. Requested and update on Roberts Ferry Road.
Deputy Brian Adolph – People are moving Roberts Ferry Road Closed Signs.

7. City Administrator’s Report – week from today is the next TTAC meeting.
