A. Roll Call
The City of Tiffin City Council held a regular scheduled work session on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the City Hall
Council Chambers. Mayor Steven Berner called the meeting to order at 5:47 PM. Upon roll being called the
following members were present: Al Havens, Jim Bartels, Eric Schnedler, Mike Ryan, Peggy Upton. Absent:
NONE. Other present City Administrator Doug Boldt, City Clerk Ashley Platz, City Engineer Ben Carhoff and
others present.
B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval
Motion to approve the agenda by Ryan.
Second by Schnedler.
All ayes, agenda approved.
C. Discussion and Consideration of Potential Financial Incentive for Redevelopment at 301 and 311 Main
Street – Mitch King
Discussion: Mitch King, Developer presented his proposal to Council to request TIF rebate. Answered questions
from Council and Mayor regarding rebates, grant and cash flow of property.
D. Discussion and Review of Buffalo Creek Development – Faselt Team
Discussion: John, Nick and Nathan Faselt - Nick White, Faselt’s Engineer presented the Forevergreen Rd design
to meet the requirements of the turn radius. Also discussion about the rough proposed drawing of a higher density
development with townhomes of 6 & 4 Plex and zero lot or duplex lots. Discussion on perception residents have
with high density.
E. Questions from Council Members regarding items on the Regular City Council Agenda
Discussion: Doug Boldt, City Administrator presented rough run down of the agenda.
