A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING
THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has
~~ adopted an Employee Classification and Position Plan and amended
same as needed; and
~ WHEREAS, the oral dictation speed was reduced for the
Secretary Classification in order to attract otherwise qualified
candidates; and
WHEREAS, recruitment and testing efforts have been
unsuccessful in yielding qualified applicants for Administrative
Secretary; and
WHEREAS, a survey of dictation requirement for Adminis-
trative Secretary suggests a reduction to 90 words per minute is
in order; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel Board has reviewed the information
and recommended amending the Classification Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. Amend the Employee Classification and
Position Plan to delete Exhibit A and insert Exhibit B.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect
f i immediately upon adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 3rd. day of
December 1985.
