Review of Boat Slip Design; and WHEREAS, Lichtenstein Consulting Engineers possess the requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and WHEREAS, Lichtenstein Consulting Engineers has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering services at a total cost not to exceed $5,320.00; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: I. The proposal from Lichtenstein Consulting Engineers for engineering services related to the Arthur Kill Waterfront Recreation Facility! Review of the Boat Slip Design at a total cost not to exceed $5,320.00 at the rate set forth in Lichtenstein Consulting Engineers contract with the Borough is hereby approved. 2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal. 3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract. Adopted this 9th day of September, 2004 and certified as a true copy of the original on September 10, 2004. -I LINDA A. Mr. Norbut, As requested by the City Engineer of Carteret, Mr. Dupont, Lichtenstein Engineers is pleased to submit this proposal to perform an independent review of the design of thc subject Boat slip. The review scope is as follows, - . Review the as-built drawings and contractor's submittals Îor materials of construction. . Visit the slip site to determine the condition ofthe slip. Deliverablcs. LCE will report its review findings in a letter report, indicating the adequacy or otherwise ofthe boat slip. LCE will make recommendations for improvement with respect to slip operation and durability. Thc cost of these services will be $5,320.00 lump sum, payable up on the receipt of the review letter.
