RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE EXCHANGE
OF PROPERTY WITH CALTRANS
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation of the State of
California ("Caltrans") proposes to exchange certain of its
property (the "Caltrans Property") to the City for certain
property vested in the City (the "City Property") and a specified
amount of cash pursuant to an Agreement in the form attached
hereto as Exhibit A (the "Caltrans Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the location and uses permitted with respect to
each of the Caltrans Property and the City Property are
comparable, and such properties have approximately equal value
per square foot; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
resolve as follows:
1. the Caltrans Agreement is approved and the exchange of
property and payment of funds pursuant to its terms are hereby
authorized. The Mayor is authorized to execute the Caltrans
Agreement. Staff shall take appropriate action to effectuate the
terms of the Caltrans Agreement. The City Council authorizes the
acceptance of title to the Caltrans Property.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21st day of January,
1986.
