AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF T'F~ GENERAL PLAN TO CFIPNGE
THE DESIGNATION OF F1UUR (4) PARCELS OF LAND GENERALLY KNO4N
AS 12534 ATLANTIC AVENUE FROM MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL

FIRST GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT OF 1986 (GPI 86-1) p
WHEREAS, the Land Use Element of the General Plan for the City of
Lynwood was adopted by the City Council in April, 1977;

WHEREAS, said Land Use Eleirent details seven (7) basicOland use
designations within the City as illustrated on its General Plan Map;
WHEREAS, staff has recommended that portions of said General Plan
Map be amended so that it re>re closely conforms to existing land use, and
proposed future land use; ~~

WHEREAS, the Land Use Element of the General plan has not been amended
this calendar year; 0
VvhIEREAS, the Planning Corms ion has approved and adopted a
resolution to the City Council to ar.~nd t;ie Land Use Eleirent of the General
plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hey
resolve as follaas: p
Section 1. A Negative Declaration has been prepared in connection
' with this project; the Cormunity Development Department foind there were no
significant environirental effects;
Section 2. The proposed amendment to the Land Use Elem2xit of the
General Plan would be appropriate in the manner and location proposed and.
would not be injurious to the City or surroLnding properties.

Section-3. The findings and determinations of the Planning Commission
contained in l~solution No. 1099 and Resolution No. 2001 are hereby confirmed,
ratified and approved, and the General Plan is amended as set forth on Exhibits
attached hereto.
Section 4. This resolution shall be effective upon the date of adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1st day of April, 1986
