A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD TO APPROVE A STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES, A PROJECTED USE OF FUNDS,
AND A DISPLACEMENT POLICY FOR FISCAL YEAR 1986-87,
AS PART OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
(CDBG) APPLICATION AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT (HUD)
WHEREAS, under the United States Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974 as amended, the City is pursuing "the
Development of viable Urban Communities" by providing decent
housing, and a suitable living environment and expanding economic
opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income;
and
WHEREAS, the expected allocation of CDBG funds-to the
City for the 1986-87 fiscal year is approximately $967,7871 and
WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted the s°equi.red
public hearing to obtain citizen input on the 1986-87 _CDBG ..
Application and has taken their comments into cor_sideration.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City: of'Lynwo~d
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Approve and adopt the Statement of Community
Development Objectives, the Projected Use of Funds and the
~, Displacement Policy as part of the CDBG Application for Fiscal
' Year 1986-87 and as per HUD requirements.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th day of
April 1986.
