A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD DESIGNATING THE ASSISTANT TO THE
CITY MANAGER AND, IN HIS ABSENCE, THE FIRE
CHIEF/ DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFTEY, TO ACT AS
CITY MANAGER WHEN THE NEED ARISES.

WHEREAS, Resolution 84-103 was adopted prior to the
establishment of the Assistant to the City Manager position; and
WHEREAS, The Assistant to the City Manager is the logical
position to act as City Manager when the need arises; and
WHEREAS, In the absence of both the City Manager and Assistant
to the City Manager there is a need for the Fire Chief/ Director of
Public Safety to assume the City Managers role.
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby resolve as followes:
SECTION 1. The Assistant to the City Manager and, in his
absence, the Fire Chief/ Director of Public Safety shall act as City
Manager when the need arises.
SECTION 2 This resolution supersedes Resolution number
84-103.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
