A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING A SEPARATION AGREEb1ENT TR.ANSPF.RRING
.AUTHORITY FOR ONE MILLION, ONE FIUNDRED NINETEEN,
T1V0 HUNDKED EIGHTY-'1'l90 DOLLARS ($1,119,282) IN
Ui'VOBLiGATED COMM}INITY DEVELOPb9ENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
(CDBG) FROM THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY CObi`9UNI'1'Y llEVELOP-
MENT COMMISSION (CDC) TO THE CITY OP LYNWOOD'S
LETTEK OF CRF.DI'1'
iVHEREAS, on July 1, 1985, Lynwood became an Entitlement
City, thus ending i.ts agreement with the Los Angeles County Com-
munity Development Commission for the administration. of Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds; and
WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Ilousi.ng and Urban.
Development (IIUll) requires the CDC to transfer authority for any
unobligated (:DBG funds and program income to the City of Lynwood's
Letter of Credit with Hi1D by a :Formal separation agreement to be
approved by the officials of both the City o:f: Lynwood and the
County of Los Angeles; and
WIIEREt15, the balance of unobligated CDBG funds totaling
$1,119,282 will be transferred from the County of Los Angeles to
the City of Lynwood's Letter of Credit upon City and County approval
o:F said agreement; and
WIIEKEAS, HUD regulations require that the Mayor of Lynwood
be designated as the City's official. signator of the separation
agreement with the County of Los Angeles,
NOR', THEREFORE, the City Council o:F the City of Lynwood
does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the separat:i.on agreement transferring
the authority for 1.,119,282 in unobligated CDBG funds from Los
Angeles County CDC to the City of hymaood i.s approved.
Section 2. That the D}ayor of T,ynwood be designated as
the Ci.ty's official signator of said separation agreement.
