A RF.SOLU1'ION OF TIIF.. CITY COUNCIL OP TIIE CITY
OP LYNWOOD AUTIIORIZING APPLICATION FOR COM-
MUNI1'Y CRIME RESISTANCE PROGRAbI FUNDING
iVHHREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to undertake
~~ a certain project designated Lynwood Community Crime Resistance
Program to be .funded i.n part from funds made availaUle through
State General Funds as authorized by Chapter 1291 of the 1982
Statutes for the California Community Crime Resistance Program,
adm.i.nistered by the O:f::fice of: Criminal Justice Planning (here-
a:Cter referred to as OCJP); and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager
of: the City of Lynwood is authorized, on its behalf to submit
the attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes
to OCJP and i.s authorized. to execute on behalf o:f the City of
Lynwood the attached Grant Award for law enforcement purposes
including any extensions or amendments thereof:.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to
provide all matching funds required for said project (incl.udi.ng
any extension or amendment thereof) under the Community Crime
Resistance Program and the rules and regulations o.f: OCJP and
that cash will be appropriated as required thereby.
BE I'1' PURTHF..R RESOLVED that grant .funds received
hereunder shall not be used to supplant law enforcement ex-
penditures controlled by this body.
