MINUTES
A meeting of the Orleans Planning Board was held on October 13, 1998, in
meeting room A, Orleans Town Hall. Present were: Chair Alan Conklin;
Ron Dilauro; Mark Zivan; Nate Pulling; Associate Rosemary Plesset;
Planning Director George Meservey.
Absent were: Sims McGrath; Associate E. John Wherry; Secretary Janet
Albahari
Discussion of possible zoning amendments for May 1999.
George Meservey asked the Planning Board if there were any articles they
wanted to bring to the May, 1999 Town Meeting. There did not appear to be
any glaring issues that needed immediate attention.
Discussion of suggestions for watershed use. Alan Conklin summarized
the discussion by noting that the Board was in favor of relaxing some
restrictions on the watershed, but there are some uses that they'd be against,
such as gasoline-powered motorized vehicles.
The Board discussed Mark Zivan's memo on the Golf Course Study,
which summarized the discussion of September 22, 1998, and the following
motion was made.
MOTION: On a motion by Nate Pulling, seconded by Ron Dilauro,
the Board voted to send Mark Zivan's memo regarding
discussion of the Golf Course Study to the Board of
Selectmen.
VOTE: 5-0-0, Unanimous. Voted in favor: Alan Conklin; Ron
Dilauro; Mark Zivan; Nate Pulling; Rosemary Plesset
Board Business
The Board signed 2 paper copies of the Baker's Pond Road subdivision plan.
The Mylar was signed on 9/30/98.
Approval of Minutes.

MOTION: On a motion by Mark Zivan, seconded by Nate Pulling,
the board voted to approve the minutes of 9/22/98.
VOTE: 5-0-0, Unanimous. Voted in favor: Alan Conklin; Ron
Dilauro; Mark Zivan; Nate Pulling; Rosemary Plesset
MOTION: On a motion by Nate Pulling, seconded by Mark Zivan,
the board voted to approve the minutes of September 30,
1998.
VOTE: 4-0-1 Alan Conklin abstained. Voted in favor: Ron
Dilauro; Mark Zivan; Nate Pulling; Rosemary Plesset
