HomeMy Public PortalAbout2020-05-18 public hearing1 CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING, MAY 18, 2020 CALL TO ORDER Mayor Carrie Tergin called the May 18, 2020 public hearing to order at 6:00 P.M. Due to the Governor’s COVID-19 Order, the public hearing was made available for participation via WebEx, and for viewing on the City’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/CityofJefferson. ROLL CALL The f ollowing Council Members were present via WebEx for roll-call: Present: Fitzwater, Graham, Hensley, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich, Schreiber, Vogt, Ward, and Wiseman Absent: None A quorum was declared present. ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA A motion was made by Councilman Fitzwater to adopt the agenda. Councilwoman Ward seconded the motion. There being no objection, the motion to adopt the agenda was approved unanimously. PRESENTATION FROM BAKER TILLY The City contracted Baker Tilly to review the two MSP redevelopment proposals, and provide a report of their findings. Tom Kaleko, Brad Elmer, and Dan Kennelly from Baker Tilly presented the company background, and their findings related to the proposals. A question and answer session began between Baker Tilly and Councilmembers. Mayor Tergin then opened the public hearing for comments from citizens who joined the WebEx meeting. PUBLIC HEARINGS The following citizens spoke on the Chesterfield/Arcturis (CA) and Farmers (F) proposals. Donna Deetz – in favor of CA Jim Casey – spoke in general of the need for soccer fields Bob Priddy – in favor of CA Randy Schenewerk – in favor of CA Holly Stitt – in favor of CA Donnell Rehagen – in favor of CA Dr. Kimberly Bruce – in favor of CA Duncan Kincheloe – in favor of convention space/CA Tom Chapman – in favor of F 2 CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING, MAY 18, 2020 After citizens spoke, discussion continued between Baker Tilly and Councilmembers. ADJOURNMENT A motion to adjourn was made by Councilwoman Wiseman, seconded by Councilman Graham, and approved unanimously at 8:09 P.M.
