CITY COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, MAY 18, 2020
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Carrie Tergin called the May 18, 2020 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at
5:45 P.M. to review the public hearing and City Council agendas.
Due to the Governor’s COVID-19 Order, the public hearing will be made available for
participation via WebEx, and for viewing on the City’s Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/CityofJefferson. The City Council meeting will be available
for viewing on the City’s Facebook page.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present via WebEx when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Graham, Hensley, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich,
Schreiber, Vogt, Ward, and Wiseman
Absent: None
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA ITEMS
Public Hearing Meeting Scheduled for 6:00 P.M.
- Ryan Moehlman, City Counselor will introduce those from Baker Tilly for a
Presentation of their findings related to the MSP redevelopment proposals.
- After the presentation, citizens who have signed up will be called upon first to
speak on the proposals. Mayor Tergin will then ask if there are others from
the public who have joined the meeting, and would also like to speak.
DISCUSSION OF CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA ITEMS
Councilman Hensley will lead the prayer.
Appointments
- Human Resources Director Gail Strope will present the recommended
appointments.
- Mayor Tergin will recommend Councilman Hank Vogt be appointed to those
committees, boards and commissions in which his predecessor, Rick Prather
was appointed, for the remainder of the 2019-2020 City Council year.
Bills Introduced
- City Staff provided a summary of their respective bills introduced.
