A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, AUTFIORIZING AN ADDITIONAL SiJM OF TEN
THOUSAND DOLLARS {$10,000) BE ADDED TO THE
PURCHASE ORDER CONTRACT OF HASCO OIL CO.
WHEREAS, after competitive bidding, the City Council on
July 2, 1985, awarded a Purchase Order Contract to Hasco Oil Comp
for an amount not to exceed $40,000, and
WHEREAS, the limit of the contract amount has been
expended, and an additional amount of $10,000 is needed before the
new contract being awarded, and
WHEREAS, Division 3 of the Lynwood City Code provides thlt
purchase of supplies, equipment and services in the amount of
three thousand, five hundred dollars {$3,500} or more be contracted
for and let to the lowest responsible bidder after notice, unless
the City Council by resolution passed by not less than four-fifths
vote of its members, determines that such an acquisition may be more
economically and efficiently effected through the use of an
alternate procedure, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the purchase of
petroleum products in fiscal year 1985-86 be more economically and
efficient:l.y effected through a supplementing funds to an existing
contract. ~ _
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of'Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follow.: _,
Section_1_ The purchase of petroleum products can ,be mode
economically and efficiently effected through supplementing funds t{{o
an existing contract. ,~ I
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
