A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO CHANGE
THE DESIGNATION OF ONE (1) PARCEL OF LAND GENERALLY KNOIJN
AS 4255 CARLIN AVENUE FROM TOWNHOUSE/CLUSTER TO MULTI-FAMILY
AND DESIGNATED AS GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT N0. 86-2.
WHEREAS, the Land Use Element of the General Plan for the City of Lynwood
was adopted by the City Council in April, 1977;
• WHEREAS, said Land Use Element details seven (7) basic land use designations
- within the City as illustrated on its General Plan Map;
Wk3EREAS, staff has recommended that portions of said General Plan Map be
amended so that it more closely conforms to existing land use, and proposed future
land use;
WHEREAS, the Land Use Element of the General Plan has been amended once
this calendar year;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has approved and adopted a resolution
to the City Council to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby resolve
as follows:
Section 1. A Negative Declaration has been prepared in connection with
this•,project; the Community Development Department found there ,were no significant
environmental effects;
Section 2. The proposed amendment to the Land llse Element-of the General
Plan would be appropriate in the manner and location proposed and would not be in-
jurious to the City or surrounding properties;
Section 3. The findings and determinations of the Planning Commission
contained in Resolution No. 2008 are hereby confirmed, ratified and approved, and
the General Plan is amended as set forth on Exhibits attached hereto;
Section 4. This resolution shall be effective upon the date of adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this lst day of Suly, 1986.
