1. Introduction, public comment, and address March 29, 2023 minutes. (5 minutes)
2. Information about and update on activities of other Trail-centric groups. (5 minutes)
3. Eagle Scout candidate visit to discuss potential projects (Srivar Yerramsetti). He’s looking for
additional details, and wondered if he could attend our meeting, and I thought that was a good
idea. Potential projects I suggested included:
a) Bridge/boardwalk building in the town's Berry Acres woods. Noted that we’re hoping to get
funding through Town Meeting (May 1) for this work.
b) Placement of fitness equipment along the Center Trail. Project would involve determining
where each piece of equipment should go, some installation and I suspect assembly of
equipment, and creating paths to the equipment. (10 minutes)
4. Trails on Berry Acres, Legacy South and prioritizing work throughout town. Prioritizing this Spring
and Summer’s work. As a reminder, out budget includes an extra $10,000 with the plan to hire some
summer help. We should start thinking about what we’d like these folks to focus on and how we want
those finds divided) – In line with the item above, we will continue the discussion of Berry Acres and
Legacy South and next steps for these areas. We should also vote to but 5 map holders. (10 minutes)
5. Continued discussion of Outreach and Annual Meeting – We will continue our discussion of outreach
to the public, including planning for an annual meeting. (30 minutes)
6. Dog on the trails. Many unleashed dogs are present, and some individuals are very uncomfortable
with unleashed dogs. Discuss how to address (15 minutes)
7. Trail Volunteer Day: The volunteer day was held on April 8 on the Center Trail and involved
annual ditch clearing. The May 6 day will be work on Hughes clearing invasives as a kid friendly
option. The June 3 volunteer day is planned for behind Center School, with bridge work and
other trail clearing. (5 minutes)
8. Suggest Items for following meetings and adjourn (5 minutes)
