AWARDING CONTRACT FOR A VIDEO SECURITY
SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM FOR THE THOMAS J. DEVERlN
COMMUNITY CENTER/LIBRARY
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret requires a Video Security Surveillance
System at the Thomas J. Deverin Community Center/Library to serve the
residents of the community; and
WHEREAS, the Borough ofCarteret received four (4) bids as follows:
1. Fire & Safety $ 42,900.00
2. Lohner Enterprises, LLC $ 36,550.00
3. Associated Lock & Key $ 21,970.00
4. Pan United Group $ 99,761.00
WHEREAS, Associated Lock and Key, 641 Roosevelt Avenue, Carteret, NJ
07008, has submitted the lowest bid for said equipment as evidenced by the
response on file with the Borough Purchasing Agent; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purchase; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has reviewed the above bid proposal
and has recommended the award of a contract to Associated Lock and Key. I

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropri ate Borough Officials are hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with Associated Lock I
and Key to furnish a Video Security Surveillance System I
\ for the Thomas J. Deverin Community Center/Library for
the amount of $21,970.00, in accordance in all respects
- with the request for proposal and bid on same.
Adopted this 14th day of October, 2004
and certified as a true copy of the
original on October 15,2004.
