Town of Leesburg To Require Masks Inside Town Facilities
Regardless of vaccination status, masks must be worn in all indoor public areas
of Town facilities, until further notice.
Leesburg, VA (August 6, 2021) – Effective Monday, August 9, 2021, the Town of Leesburg will
require people to wear masks in public areas inside Town facilities, regardless of vaccination
status.
The Town is reinstating the mask requirement based on the Loudoun County Health
Department’s recommendation. According to the Centers for Disease Control, Loudoun County
is experiencing “substantial community transmission” of COVID-19. In areas with high or
substantial transmission, the CDC advises that everyone, including those already vaccina ted
against COVID-19, wear masks in indoor public settings to reduce the spread of the virus.
