Nominations Being Sought for Loudoun History Awards
Thomas Balch Library Commission will present the 29th annual awards on
Sunday, November 7, 2021.
Leesburg, VA (August 23, 2021) – Thomas Balch Library Advisory Commission seeks
nominations for the twenty ninth annual Loudoun History Awards. This event honors
individuals who have made a significant contribution to preserving Loudoun’s past through
collection of county documents and memorabilia, preservation of historic landmarks, visual
arts, writing and long-term involvement in local history organizations. Recipients in 2019 were
Mildred Ann Clark Daye and Lee D. Stone.
Letters of nomination should include a statement elaborating the nominees’ accomplishments.
Newspaper articles, program announcements, publications, or other supporting information
that provides evidence of the nominee’s accomplishments may be included. Contact
information for the nominee and nominator must accompany the nomination and be directed

Deadline for nominations is Monday, October 4, 2021. The awards ceremony will be held at
