HomeMy Public PortalAboutTOL NR 2021-09-02 Airshow Returns to Leesburg Executive Airport Town of Leesburg News Release For Immediate Release September 2, 2021 Media Contact: Leah Kosin, Assistant Public Information Officer lkosin@leesburgva.gov  703-771-2781 Airshow Returns to Leesburg Executive Airport Aerobatic performances and aviation displays to be featured from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Leesburg, VA (September 2, 2021) – The Leesburg Executive Airport (1001 Sycolin Road SE) will host the annual Leesburg Airshow on Saturday, September 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Beginning at 1 p.m., the skies above Leesburg will come alive with daring aerobatic performances. Featured performers include the Commemorative Air Force, Paul Dougherty, The Flying Circus, Kevin Russo and the Jersey Jerks, Mark Meredith, and Scott Francis. This year’s announcer will be Howdy McCann with David Schultz Airshows. Gates for the airshow will open at 11 a.m. Admission to the airshow is free. The airshow’s static display area, located on the airport’s parking ramp, always features a variety of experimental and antique aircraft. Other tarmac attractions include aviation-related displays, exhibits, an inflatable for the kids, and a variety of food and beverage vendors. Event parking will be available at Heritage High School (520 Evergreen Mills Road) and Segra Field (42095 Loudoun United Drive). Complimentary shuttles will run continuously from 10:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Parking at the airport terminal will be reserved for attendees who require accessible parking. A DMV-issued permit must be displayed in order to park at the terminal. Accessible shuttles and parking are available at the other two parking locations. Masks are required to ride the shuttles from the parking lots to the airport.
