The exhibition covers its origins and ongoing implications through personal stories of those who witnessed and survived the attacks. Archival photographs and images of artifacts from the 9/11 Memorial & Museum’s permanent collection will be available for viewing. The exhibition also explores consequences of terrorism on individual lives and communities at the local, national, and international levels, and encourages critical thinking about the legacies of 9/11. Developed and curated by the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, this exhibit is made possible in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities: Democracy Demands Wisdom. Also included are materials related to 9/11 experiences and memorialization in Loudoun County. The digital exhibit will be on view in the Library’s John Divine room throughout September 2021. This exhibit will be available to view during the month of September. Library hours are currently as follows: • Monday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. • Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. • Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. • Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. " Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The library will be closed for lunch from 12 to 1 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
