Leesburg, VA (September 23, 2021) – Andrew Jampoler will
present a virtual lecture on the Greely Expedition on

Disinterest in Washington, D.C. and the failure of two annual
resupply missions to arrive condemned Army Lieutenant

Canada to starvation, cannibalism, and death. His plight and
rescues were major news stories through the 1880s.
Pre-registration is required for this event. Please call 703-737-
7195, email balchlib@leesburgva.gov, or register online.

who flew Lockheed P-3 airplanes in search of submarines, also commanded a land-based
maritime patrol aircraft squadron and an air station. Jampoler has been researching and writing
