AUTHORIZING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
SCHOOR DEPALMA - BELLEMEAD REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT
WHEREAS, there exists a need for engineering planning services regarding the
planning and redevelopment, as well as land value determinations, development
costs and tax abatement analysis, involved with potential modifications to the
BelleMead Redevelopment Project in the Borough of Carteret; and
WHEREAS, on or about May 23, 2001, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret received the attached proposal (the "Proposal") from Schoor DePalma for
said planning services at a Jump sum of $19,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Local Public Contracts Law requires that the resolution authorizing
the award of contracts for "professional services" without competitive bids and the
contract itself must be available for public inspection.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
The Proposal from Schoor DePalma for planning services in
conjunction with the potential modifications to the BelleMead
Redevelopment Project at a total cost not to exceed $19,500.00 is
approved.
2. Annexed hereto is copy of said agreement.
3. This action is approved without competitive bids as an award of a
professional contract.
4. A notice of this award shall be advertised as required by law.
