Residents can place Town of Leesburg personal property, real estate and business tax bills, water and sewer bills, and parking ticket payments in the new drop box. Town staff will collect payments from the drop box by 1:30 pm each weekday (Monday through Friday). Payments will be processed the same day as collected. To avoid late fees and penalties, residents should place payments in the drop box at least one business day before the due date. The Leesburg Police Department building is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. “The Town continually seeks ways to improve our customer service,” said Mike Goodrich, Leesburg’s Finance Operations Manager. “This new drop box provides a more convenient alternative to making a trip to Town Hall to pay a bill.” There will continue to be two payment drop boxes at Town Hall (one outside at the corner of Wirt and West Market Streets and one inside at the Finance Counter on the first floor). The Town of Leesburg offers multiple options for paying taxes and utility bills. The Town website lists all available payments options, by type of bill, at www.leesburgva.gov/payments. # # #
