A RE SOLU'I ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING AMENDMENT TO JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT
FOR INSURANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT PURPOSES
~+ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood is a member of the
Independent Cities Risk Management Authority; and
TdI~REAS, the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority anticipates
expanding its programs to include certain funded and unfunded pooling concepts;
and
WHEREAS, said expansion of existing programs requires the modification
of the Authority's Joint Exercise of Peioers Agreement for Insurance and Risk
Management Purposes; and
WHEREAS, modifications to the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement for
Insurance and Risk~Management Purposes require that two-thirds (2/3rds) of the
member cities elected bodies agree to the amendment.
NOW, 'THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, determine, order and resolve a.s follows:
Section 1. That the City Council approve the amended Joint Exercise
of Pourers Agreement for Insurance and Risk Management Purposes, which is attached
hereto, and which contains a notation of the cover page "ICRMA081386.'
Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adooti.on.
