RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING ANTI-GRAFFITI
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, it is necessary to remove graffiti from certain
walls and other building surfaces in Lynwood City Park; and
~~ WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the available anti-graffiti
covering material and found that the best appropriate material (Ty-Cote
~' Pigmented) can be obtained from only one vendor and that it is in the
best interest of the City to utilize a similar material for all City
anti-graffiti work; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of the anti-graffiti material and services
can be more economically and efficiently effected by means of the informal
bidding process currently utilized by staff,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council as follows:
1. The recitals above are true and correct.
2. The City Manager is authorized to execute a negotiated agree-
ment without competitive bidding for the provision of anti-graffiti removal
and maintenance services with Community Youth Gang Services Project in the
amount of not to exceed $8,795.00 on substantially the terms and conditions
described in the proposal report presented with this resolution and attached
hereto.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16th day of
September 1986.
