II AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN BOROUGH
- OWNED REAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Carteret Housing Authority ("the Authority") is in need ofre¡;ll property
for the construction of a new maintenance garage; and
WHEREAS, the Authority has advised the Governing Body that Block 244, Lot I, and
more commonly know as the vacant lot at the intersection of Chrome Avenue and
Hudson Street, is suitable and can accommodate the Authority's need; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has determined that said real property is not needed
for any other said purpose and is willing to transfer the same to the Authority as
permitted by law for a nominal amount as permitted by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
l. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby directed to take the necessary
actions to transfer title to Block 244, Lot I, more commonly know as the vacant
lot at the intersection of Chrome Avenue and Hudson Street, in the Borough of
Carteret to the Housing Authority for the sum of $15,000.00, the receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged.
Adopted this 23rd day of September, 2004
and certified as a true copy of the
original on September 24, 2004.
