FOR ASSISTANT PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR WHEREAS, the retirement of the Garage Superintendent has left the municipal garage without direction for day to day operations including purchas- t ing and o~,ierall supervision and administrative functions, and WHEREAS, there is a need for an Assistant Public Works Director position to handle all maintenance functions in the City; and WHEREAS, an Associate Civil Engineer is performing these administra- tive and supervisory duties; and WHEREAS, the performance of these duties by the Associate Civil Engineer requires that he work out of class, WHEREAS, staff is working on a new job description for the position of Assistant Public Works Director; and WHEREAS, establishment of the new position will require time and there is a need for the duties to be performed immediately, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find, determine, order, and resolve as follows: Section 1. Amend exhibit D, the Special Assignment Co!'apensation Salary Schedule of the Salary Resolution to add the title and pay of Assistant ~'+ Public Works Director $200 per month. Limited to the temporary appointment I` specified as three months with expiration automatically upon December 31, 1986. Section 2.
