A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CI~UNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING AN AMENAMENT 'IC) THE FY
86-87 BUDGET AND AN APPROPRIATION OF ADDITIONAL
FUNDS

WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has been unable to hire a
Plan Check Engineer to provide plan check services and manages the
Building and Safety Division; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the hiring of a
Senior Building Inspector and a Building Inspector to staff the Building
and Safety Division; and
WHEREAS, the hiring of the authorized position is expected
to be accomplished on January 31, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood must retain the services of a
Consultant to continue providing building inspection services until
January 31, 1987 and plan check services until June 30, 1987; and
WHEREAS, there is a projected budget deficiency of $85,000
for Contractual Services in the Division Budget; and
WHEREAS, there are projected savings of $35,000 in salaries
and fringe benefits resulting from unfilled positions in the Division.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized
to make the following additional appropriations.

Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized
to make the following budget ameno3nents:

upon its adoption.
