A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE FOLLOWING FUND TRANSFERS
AND APPROPRIATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN ADDITIONAL
PICK-UP TRUCK
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to maintain an efficient
and reliable vehicle fleet; and
WHEREAS, $11,000 has been appropriated for the purchase
~^ of a full size pick-up truck for the Water Maintenance Division
for fiscal year 1986-87; and
WHEREAS, the Building Department of the City of Lynwood
is in need of a new replacement vehicle; and
WHEREAS, by appropriating additional funds and
purchasing compact pick-up trucks, two vehicles could be purchase
instead of one; and
WHEREAS, there is adequate unexpended appropriations in
the Garage fund; and
WHEREAS, an additional $4,000 of Garage funds will be
added to purchase an additional compact pick-up truck.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Manager or his designee is
authorized to make the following transfers and appropriations:

Section 2. The City Council hereby finds that the
equipment acquisition approved hereby can be more efficiently and
economically accomplished by an informal bid procedure in that
the negotiated purchase secures a better price than could be
obtained from formal bids.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of
NovemUer 1986.
