HomeMy Public PortalAbout86-140 (11-04-86)RESOLUTION NO. 86-140 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE FOLLOWING FUND TRANSFERS AND APPROPRIATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF A FORKLIFT r"~ WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide the necessary equipment to continue providing an efficient City maintenance operation; and WHEREAS, the Water Maintenance Division of the City of Lynwood is in need of a forklift; and WHEREAS, there is adequate unexpended appropriations in the Garage fund; and WHEREAS, an $8,000 of Garage funds will be used to purchase a refurbished forklift. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follows: Section 1. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to make the following transfers and appropriations: FROM: TO: $8,000 $8,000 Unappropriated Garage Fund 8-4451-4312 Automotive Equipment Section 2. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the equipment acquisition approved hereby can be more efficiently and economically effected by an informal bid procedure in that the negotiated purchase secures a better price for the equipment than could be obtained from formal bids.
