A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
~ DECLARING ITS IidTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC
PURPOSES THr1T PORTION OF THE FIRST F.LLEY NORTH OF LAVINIA
~ AVENUE BETWEEN WRIGHT ROAD AND 44ILSON AVENUE, CITY OF
LYNW'OOD AS SH04dN ON hiAF OF TRACT N0. 5686, IN THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, IN THF. COUNTI' OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
MAP BOOK 62, PAGE 69 OF MAPS IN THE OFFICE OF THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY RECORDER.
The City Council of the City of hynwood, California,
hereby resolves and ordains as follows:
S_ec_tion_ 1: That portion of first alley North of
Lavinia Avenue, between 44right Road and Wilson Avenue as shown
on map of No. 5686, in the City of Lynwood, in the Count, of Los
Angeles, State of California, Map Book 62, Page 69 of
maps in the Office of the Los Angeles County Recorder, more
particularly described as:
That portion of alley as shown nn Tract Map No. 5686 as
recorded on Map Book 62, Page 69 in the Office of the Recorder of
Los Angeles County, bounded on the west by the easterly right-of-
way line of Wright Road; bounded on the east by the westerly
right-of-way line of H'ilson Avenue; bounded on the north by the
southerly property lines of lots 91 through 100; and bounded on
the south by the following described line beginning at the
northwest corner of lot 101; thence easterly along the northerly
line of lot 101 and lot 107, a distance of 279.28 feet to a point
of tangency with a curve concave southwesterly and having a
radius of 72.50 feet; thence easterly along said curve a distance
of 43.16 feet, more or less to a point on the easterly line of
lot 107, said point being on the westerly right-of-way line of
F4ilson Avenue.
Said alley located within the corporate limits of
the City of Lynwood, is unnecessary for present or prospective
public alley purposes and thst the public interest, necessity and
convenience require, and the City Council of said City hereby
declares its intention to vacate and abandon that portion of said
alley.
S_ecti_on_ Z: That said portion of alley, as above
described, being in the City of Lynwood, is shown on the official
map of the City of Lynwood, at the office of the City Clerk of
said City, to which all parties interested are referred for
particular as to the proposed vacation and abandonment.
Se_ction_ 3: That the City Council elects to proceed :in
said vacation and abandonment under Section 8300 to 8324,
inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, as amended.
S_ec_tio_n_ 4: The City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby determine that: the public convenience and necessity
require that an easement be retained for construction and
maintenance of utility lines within the limits of alley vacation
as described in Section 1.
Section 5: That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood
is hereby directed to give and post, as required by law, notice of
the passage of this Resolution of Intention, and give therein the
1P~al deSCri~tion of said alley ~ro~osed to be vacated and
abandonad, and specify the tine and place of hearing of this
Resolution of Intention, which is hereby fihed as follows:
The hearing to be before the City Council cif the City
of Lynwood, at 11330 Bullis Road, in the City Council Chambers of
the City Hall of said City of Lynwood, at the hour of 7::30 p.m. on
March 17, 1987, at which time and place all persons interested
may appear and object or protest to the proposed vacation and
abandonment of said alley. If the City Council finds from the
evidence submitted that the alley is unnecessary for present or
prospective use, it may make its order vacating all or part of
the alley.
Section 6_ This resolution shall. take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
