RESOLUTION OF THE
LYNWOOD REV:LS:LNG
FEES
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GARBAGE AND TRASH COLLECTION
N+HEREAS, Lynwood Municipal Code Section 13-36 authorized
the City Council by resolution to modify fees for trash collection
and hauling in the City of Lynwood from time to t:~me; and
WHEREAS, Western Waste Industries is the Cit,y's exclusive
hauler i'or residential and commerci.•xl. properties in the Gity; and
WHEREAS, Code Section 13-16 authorizes the City Council to
provide for exc:Lus:ive collection of trash and refuse for sll
industrial premises; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the public
health, safety and welfare will be enhanced by revising fees for
trash collection and providing for certain amendments to the
Agreement between the City and Western Waste Industries to provide,
among other things, exclusive collection of industrial uses in
the Cit,Y.
follows:
NOW, THEHEFOR.E, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council. as
S_e_ct;i_on 1. The fees for residential trash collection in
the City are modified as follocas:
a. Resident:iaa.: 6.7-s increase from level in effect
December 1, 1986, plus $2.00/bi.n~'month in addition thereto for all
residential. uses.
b. For all non--res:identi.al uses: 6.7% increase from
level in effect December 1, 198G, plus $4.00/binjmonth in addition
thereto For al.l non-residential uses.
c. Roll-off rate per load shall be $140.00 a pull
per load plus dwnp cost, load not to exceed seven and one half' tons.

d. Eight percent administrative fee For residential

Section 2. Western Waste Industries shall be granted
the exclusive right, to the extent permitted by law, for aal rubbish
and garbage collection in the City, including without limitation,
industrial, subject to terms of the Agreement, including aa.l
roll-off in the C,'ity..
Section 3. Western Waste Agreement shall. be amended to
provide a five (5) year evergreen provision in the Agreement,
commencing January 1, 1987.
Section 4. C:it,y Attorney is directed to draft and the
Mayor of the C:Lty i.f authorized to execute (and City Clerk ~to
attest) amendtents to the rubbish collection Agreement with Western
Waste incorporating the modifications authorized by this resolution.
S_e_ction 5. The provisions of this resolution ace
severable, and if any portion of this resolution shall be declared
invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity shall not effect any of
the remaining portions of this reso.Luti.on.
Section E_ This resolution shall tai;e effect immediately
except that a:Ll fee increases shall be effective February 1, 198?.
Any previous actions since December 1, 1986 is superr_eded and.
repeated to the extent of any conflict herewith.
