A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD SELECTING THE WINNING ENTRIES IN
THE NAME THE TROLLEY CONTEST

WHEREAS, on November 6, 1986, the City Council
directed staff to organize a contest to name each of the Trolley
buses; and
WHEREAS, over 300 entries were received; and

WHEREAS, the Community Affairs Commission has reviewed
the entries and is recommending winners in-the contest.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the winning entries in the name of
the Trolley Contest are:
Grand Prizes: Lynwood Express; Spruce Caboose ($200 each)
First Prize: Lynwood Cable ($100)
Second Prize: Lynwood Looper ($ 50)
Third Prize: Lynwood Trolley ($ 25)
Section 2. Staff is directed to make preparations for
the awards ceremony to distribute the prizes at the February 17,
1987 City Council Meeting.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of
February 1987.
