A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE ANll
ABANDON FOR PUBLIC PiJRPOSES THAT PORTION OF
LORRAINE STREET, E'ORMF.RLY KNOWN AS BULLIS STREET,
BETWEEN CENTURY BOULEVARD, FORMERLY KNOWN AS
TWEEDY AND ABBOTT ROAD, AND 108TH STREET,
FORMERLY I{NOWN AS 2ND STREET, CITY OF LYNWOOD, AS
SHOWN ON MAF OF TRACT N0. 5418, IN THE CITY OF
LYNWOOU, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, MAP BOOK 59,
PAGE 42 OF MAPS IN,THE OFFICE OF THE LOS ANGELES
COUNTY RECORDER.
The City Council oP the City of Lynwood, California,
hereby resolves and ordains as follows:
Section 1_ That portion of Lorrsine Street, formerly
known ss Bul.l.is Street, between Century Boulevard, formerly known
as Tweedy and Abbott Road and 108th Street, formerly known as 2nd
Street as shown on map of Trsct No. 5418, in the City of Lynwood,
in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, Map Book 59,
Page 42 of maps in the Office of the Los Angeles County Recorder.
Said street located within the corporate limits of the
City of Lynwood, is unnecessary for present or prospective public
street purposes and that the public interest, necessity and
convenience require, and the City Council of said City hereby
declares its intention to vacate and abandon that portion of said
street.
Section 2_ That said portion of the street, as above
described, being in the City of Lynwood, is shown on the official
map of the City of Lynwood, at the office of the City Clerk of
said City, to which all parties interested are referred :for
particulars as to the proposed vacation and abandonment.
Section 3: That the City Council elects to proceed in
said vacation and abandonment under Section 8300 to 8324,
inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
Cal.i.forni.a, as amended.
Section 4_ 'l'he City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby determine that the public convenience and necessity
require that easements be retained for construction and
maintenance of utility lines within the limits of t:he street
vacation as described in Section 1.
Section 5_ That the City Clerk oi' the City of Lynwood
is hereby directed to give and post, as required by law, notice of
the passage of this Resolutio^ of Intention, and give therein the
Lega:L description of said street proposed to be vacated and
abandoned, and specify the time and place of hearing of this
Resolution of Lntent:ion, which is hereby faxed as follows:
The hearing to be before the City Council of the City
of Lynwood, at 11330 Bull.is Road, in the City Council Chambers of
the City Hall of said City of Lynwood, at the hour of 7:30 p. m. on
April 7, 1987, at which time and place all persons interested
may appear and object or protest to the proposed vacation and
abandonment of said street. If' the City Council finds from i:he
evidence submitted that the street is unnecessary for present or
prospective use, i.t may make its order vacating all. or part of the
street.

S_e_cti_on _G: This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
