A RESOLCTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OE
LYNWOOD llECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE AND
ABANllON FOR PUBLLC FURPOSES THAT PORTION OF
107TH PLACE AS SHOWN ON WATTS PARK TRACT RECORDED
IN MAP BOOK 8, PAGE 70 IN THE OFFICE OF TFIE
RECORllER OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY, BETWEEN THE
EASTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LLNR OF MONA BOULEVARD AND
THE EASTERLY PROLONGATION OF THE NORTHERLY LINE
OF LOT 1 OF SAID TRACT AND WATTS AVENUE BETWEEN
SAID EASTERLY PROLONGATION AND THE NORTHERLY
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF 108TH STREET (40 FEET WIDE}
AS SHOWN ON SAID TRACT.
The City Council. of the City of Lynwood, Cal:iforn:ia,
hereby resolves and ordains as follows:
Sectinn 1_ That portion of 107th Place as shown
on Watts Park Tract Recorded in Plap Book 8, page 70 in the
Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles Coutxty, between the
easter:Ly right-of-way line of Mona Boulevard and the easterly
prolongation of the northerly line of Lot 1 of said tract and
Watts Avenue between said easterly prolongation and the
northerly right-of-way line of 108th Street (40 feet wide) as
shown on said tract.
Said alley aocated within the corporate limits of
the City of Lynwood, is unnecessary for present or prospective
~` public street purposes and that the public interest, necessity and
~I convenience require, and the City Council of said City hereby
declares its intention to vacate axxd abandon those portions of said
streets.
Section 2_ Those said portions of the streets, as above
described, being in the City of Lynwood, is shown on the official
map of the City of Lynwood, at the office of the City Clerk of said
City, to which al.l parties interested are referred for particulars
as to the proposed vacation and abandonment.
Section 3: That the City Council e:Lects to proceed in
said vacation and abandoxnnent under Section 8300 to 8324,
inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, as amended.
Section 4_ The City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby determine that the public convenience and necessity
require that easements be retained for construction and
maintenance of util.i.ty lines within the limits of the street
vacation as described in Section 1.
Section 5_ That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood
.i.s hereby directed to give and post, as required b,y law, notice of
the passage of this Resolution of Intention, and give therein the
legal description o:f said stree ts proposed to be vacated and
abandoned, and specify the time and place of hear ing of this
Resolution of Intention, which is hereby faxed as follows:
The hearing to be before the City Council of the City
of Lynwood, at :L 1.330 Bu1:Lis Road, in the City Council Chambers of
the City Hall of said City of Lynwood, at the hour of 7':30 p.m. on
April 21, 1987, at which time and place all persons interested
may appear and object or protest to the proposed vacation and
abandonment of said streets. If the City Counci.L finds from the
evidence submitted that, the streets are unnecessary f-or present or
prospective use, i.t may make its order vacating all or part of the
alley.
S_e_ction_ _6: This resolution shall. take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
