A RESOLUTION OF TFIE CITY COUNCIL OF THF. C PIY OI'
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE ADDITION OF THE TRAFFIC
SIGNAh CONSTRUCTION PROJECT AT THE INTERSECTION
OF CENTURY BOULEVARD AND DUNCAN AVENUE TO THE
FY 1986-87 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT SCHEDULE AND
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO OBTAIN INFORMAL BIDS FOR
THE PURCHASE OF 'TRAFFIC SIGNAL F.OUIPMEN'C
WHEREAS, the Traffic Signal Construction Project at the
intersection of Century Boulevard and lluncan Avenue was not listed
in the FY 1986-87 Budget Capital Improvement Schedule; and
WHEREAS, $20,000 of HCDA funds have already been
budgeted for the prnject; and
WHEREAS, salvaged equipment from deleted City inter-
sections along the I-105 Century Freeway is at hand; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of a traffic controller,
electrical conduits and poles can be done in a more timely and
efficient manner by obtaining informal bids; and
WHEREAS, City Council can authorize the obtainment of
informal bids under Section 2-62(0) of the Muncipal Code: of the City
of Lynwood.
NOW, TFIEREF'ORE, BF, IT RESOLVEll by the City Council. of the
City of Lynwood as follows:
Section_1_ That the Traffic Signa.L Construction Project
at the intersection of Century Boulevard and Duncan Avenue be added
to the FY 1986-87 Budget Capital Improvement Schedule.
Section_2_ That the C:i.ty Manager or his designee is
authorized to make the following amendments and transfers:

Section 3: That informal bids he obtained for the
