HomeMy Public PortalAbout87-028 (03-17-87)RESOLUTION N0. 87-28 A RESOLTTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT FOR PTJBLIC PURPOSES OF THAT ENTIRE PORTION OF THE FIRST ALLEY NORTFI OI ~i LAVINIA AVENUE BETWEEN WRIGHT ROAD AND WILSON AVENUE, AS ~ SHOWN ON THE MAP OF THACT N0. 5686, IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, .. IN THF. COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, MAP B001C 62, PAGE 69 OF MAPS IN THE OFFICE. OF THE LOS. ANGELES COUNTY RECORDER. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did, on the 20th day of January, 1987, adapt a Resolution No. 87-4, declaring its intention to vacate that portion of the first alley north of Lavinia Avenue between Wright Road and Wilson Avenue in the City of Lynwood, as hereinafter described, and WHF.REA5, notices of said vacation were published and posted in the time, form and manner required by law, and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on the matter was held on the March ].7, 1987, as prescribed by law, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood as follows: Section 1. That the following described alley easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public use, and that the public interest, necessity, and convenience require, and the City Council of said City hereby declares its order to vacate and abandon said alley easement; '.Chat entire portion of first alley north oI' Lavinia Avenue, between Wright Road and Wilson Avenue as sktown on Map of Tract No. 5686, in the City of Lynwood, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, Map Rook 62, Page 69 of maps in the Office of the Los Angeles County Recorder, more particularly described as: That portion of alley as shown on Tract Map No. 568G as recorded on Map Book 62, Page 69 in the Office of the Recorder o:C Los Angeles County, bounded on the west by the easterly right-of-way line of Wright Road; bounded on the east by the westerly right-of- way line of Wilson Avenue; bounded on the north by the southerly pcoperty lines of lots 91 through 100; and bounded ott the south by the following described line beginning at the northwest corner of lot 101; thence easterly along the northerly line of lot 101 and lot 107, a distance of 279.28 feet to a point of tangency with a curve concave southwesterly and having a radius of 72.50 feet; 1;hence easterly along said curve a distance of 43.16 feet, more or less to a point on the easterly line of lot 107, said point being on the westerly right-of-way line of Wilson Avenue. Section 2. 'Chat an easement be reserved for the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company to and from time to tame construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew such aerial and underground communication facilities (including ingress thereto and agress therefrom) consisting of poles, anchors, guys, cables, wires, crossarms, conduits, manholes, handholes, markers, pedestals, terminal equipment cabinets, el.eci:rical conductors and necessary fixtures and appurtenances. Section 3: That an easement be reserved for the Southern California Edison Company, a corporation organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of California, a right-of-way to construct, maintain, operate, replace, renew, remove and repair power facilities consisting of poles, anchors, guys, cables, wires, crossarms, conduits, manholes, handholes, markers, pedestals, transformers, terminal equipment cabinets, electrical conductors and necessary fixtures and appuretenances. ATTACHMENT A Section 4_ That an easement be reserved for the Rogers Cable Systems Company to maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and repair existing cable television consisting of poles, anchors, guys, cables, wires, crossarms, conduits, markers, terminal equipment cabinets and necessary fixtures and appurtenances. Section 5_ That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood shall cause a certified copy of said order to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County.
