iii.Who do you know with an EV (for the Farmers Market,and maybe Polyarts and the EV Fair)? iv.Maybe a card/page with sustainability goals and stars on it. v.Asking a business in town to make cutlery for takeout on request only. vi.Farmers Market:EVs (would really love to have one there -no response from committee so far;we can ask a dealer to come),composting, pesticides,one giveaway (laundry sheet),sustainable events (for vendors and attendees) vii.Sustainable Event Guidelines were approved at the Select Board meeting.What that means and what’s next for that,and the guidelines in general. c.Buildings i.Nicole -Specialized Energy Code adoption process d.Climate Action i.Paul -process to calculate annual GHG inventory e.Environment i.Brendan -final presentation on carbon sequestration in forests f.Green Energy i.Municipal aggregation status g.Transportation i.Elaine directed Linda to Connor Zannini,a chemistry teacher at the HS, who worked with students to submit the $25,000 request regarding charging stations in town.Elaine said starting in July,they will be assigned a town department to work with.Connor said they “plan to submit research,cost estimates,warranty information,community collaborators (Buildings and Grounds and Finance Directors)and timeline.He said he believes Tim Perssons will lead the effort so we can reach out to Tim.Connor also agreed to share sustainability info from us with his students. 4.MA Legislative Actions [10 minus] a.Diane attended a session at the State House and belongs to related groups.She will present all the green legislation being proposed. i.List of proposed bills b.We may want to invite our state rep,James Arena-DeRosa to one of our meetings to talk about proposed green legislation we’d like to be supported.He was at the Recycling event. 5.Solar Flair Panel Issues -Follow Up a.Linda emailed Elaine who is following up with Norman.She has located some paperwork on the program. b.Ken talked to Andy Bryce who said there were others with issues.Andy did not know anything about the warranty and suggested we talk to Norman. c.One option is for one of us to contact Solar Flair just to gather and confirm information. 6.Community First Partnership Grants a.Will they exist this year?Does Hopkinton have an Environmental Justice Community?
