A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A WATER USAGE PRIORITY LIST
FOR THE CITY OF MOAB
WHEREAS, The City of Moab is responsible for maintaining water
supply and pressure for all of its water users; and
WHEREAS, it may be necessary to regulate water usage to
maintain water supply and pressure; and
WHEREAS, in the event that it is necessary to regulate water
usage, the City of Moab should have in place a Water Usage Priority
List that delineates the priority in which water usage will be
maintained;
WHEREAS, the following list delineates the Water Usage
Priority List, top priority to bottom priority, to be used in the
event it is necessary to regulate water usage:
1. Fire Protection
2. Cooking/Bathing:Residential
3. Cooking/Bathing: Hotels, Motels, Campsites
4. Restaurant and other Commercial businesses not delineated
otherwise in this list
5. Residential and Commercial Landscaping
6. Outdoor Cleaning/Pool Maintenance
7. Carwashing
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE MOAB CITY COUNCIL
to adopt this Water Usage Priority List to be used in the event
that water regulation is necessary.
