HomeMy Public PortalAbout037-2001 - General Ordinance - Amends Section 154.35.03.04 of the City Code (Vehicle Impound Storage Area)ORDINANCE NO. 37 - 2001 A GENERAL ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 154.35.03.04 OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND CODE REGARDING VEHICLE IMPOUND STORAGE AREAS WHEREAS, Section 154.35.03.04 requires that a surface water drainage system be installed inside the fence and around the perimeter of every vehicle impound storage area; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to amend said section to require a surface water drainage system around the perimeter, but not necessarily inside the fence of every vehicle impound storage area. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that Section 154.35.03.04 of the Richmond City Code be modified to read as follows except that portions that are stricken shall not appear (stricken portions rep[resent deletions; these are included to facilitate understanding of the changes being made): 154.34.03.04 Vehicle impound storage area – Surface water drainage A surface water drainage system shall be required to be installed around the perimeter of every vehicle impound storage area. The drainage system shall be designed to intercept contaminated surface water and oil and to prevent its discharge onto adjoining property.
