APPROVING A SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ("the Borough") has initiated disciplinary
action against one of its employees; and
WHEREAS, said employees and Local 2291, AFSCME Council 73, AFL-CIO
have expressed their opposition to said disciplinary action; and
WHEREAS, the Borough and said Employee and Local 2291 desire to resolve
any dispute amicably and to avoid the time and expense of further action in this
matter; and
WHEREAS, the parties have reached a settlement agreement with regard to this
matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized
to execute said settlement agreement on behalf of the Borough of Carteret and to
take all appropriate necessary actions to fulfill its terms and conditions.
