MINUTES
PRESENT: STAN BART, ACTING CHAIR; NATE PULLING; TAD VAUTRINOT; SIMS
MCGRATH; GEORGE WALKER; PAUL HALKIOTIS, TOWN PLANNER
ABSENT:ALAN CONKLIN, CHAIR
Sims McGrath' s is the latest member of the Planning Board. This was
his first Planning Board meeting.
Definitive Plan; Applicants: James and Susan Trainor. Location:
Beach Road.
Also present: Tim Brady, East Cape Engineering.
George Walker read the legal ad for this plan, which appeared in both
the 2/16/96 and 2/23/96 issues of The Cape Codder, and the Public Hearing
was opened.
Tim Brady presented the plan which showed the division of a parcel
of land into two lots : Lot 1 and Lot 2 . Lot 1 is shown as a panhandle
lot.
Paul read correspondence from the following Town departments .
1 .From Jon Eitelbach, Building Commission, to Paul Halkiotis, Town
Planner, dated March 4, 1996, requesting that the owners of the
land be verified.
2 .From Charles Medchill, Water Superintendent, to Paul Halkiotis, dated
2/20/96, stating that Mr. Medchill had no comments .
3 .From Bob Canning, Health Agent, to Paul Halkiotis, dated 3/12/96,
regarding subsurface sewage disposal and water supply.
In a letter addressed to Paul Halkiotis, Town Planner, dated 3/8/96,
Tim Brady discussed the plan and requested a waiver from the
requirements of Subdivision Rules and Regulations requiring a driveway
profile.
MOTION:Tad Vautrinot moved that the Board grant a waiver from the
Planning Board Rules and Regulations, Section E. Definitive
Plans, 1 . b. , which means that a driveway profile will not
be required.
VOTE: 5-0-0, unanimous .
MOTION:Nate Pulling moved that the Board vote to approve the Definitive
Plan, prepared for James and Susan Trainor, dated January
23, 1996, scale 1" = 30 ' , prepared by East Cape Engineering.
Approval of the plan is subject to the following conditions .
1 .A revised plan shall be submitted prior to endorsement
of the plan. The revised plan shall contain the
following information.
a.The location of proposed monuments .
b. The exact location of the existing water
main on Beach Road.
c.The proposed location for the common driveway.
d. The revision date of the plan.
VOTE: 5-0-0, unanimous .
MOTION:Nate Pulling moved to close the public hearing.
VOTE: 5-0-0, unanimous .
MOTION: Tad Vautrinot moved to approve the minutes of 1/23/96.
VOTE: 4-0-1, Sims McGrath abstained.
Public Hearing. Scenic Roads Act. Applicant: NYNEX. Location:
Namequoit Road.
Also present: Shawn Shea, Acting Tree Warden
Paul read the legal ad which appeared in both the 2/20/96 and 2/27/96
issues of The Cape Codder, and the public hearing was opened.
Shawn Shea said that he had reviewed the permit and inspected the trees
and has no problem with the application.
MOTION:Tad Vautrinot moved that the Board approve the request of NYNEX
to trim a 6 ' x 6 ' window around the cables located on Namequoit
Road, from Pole 2 to Pole 18, as long as the Acting Tree
Warden is notified of when the cutting will occur.
VOTE: 5-0-0, unanimous .
MOTION:Nate Pulling moved to close the Public Hearing.
VOTE: 5-0-0, unanimous .
