RESOLUTION NO. 86 -2448
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY DECLARING CERTAIN PREMISES TO BE A
PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING ABATEMENT THEREOF.
FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the. Planning Commission of the City of Temple City
has, by Resolution No. 86- 1253PC determined that a public nuisance as
defined in the Municipal Code exists on certain premises and recommends
abatement thereof; and
WHEREAS, no appeal has been taken from said determination with
respect to time in which to abate the nuisance;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE.CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. That a public nuisance as defined in the Municipal
Code of the City of Temple City, exists on the premises designated as
9078 Acaso, City of Temple City, California, and more particularly
described as Parcel 18, Lot 26, Record of Survey 56, Pages 12 -13 of
Maps in the Office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, in the following particulars:
A. The accumulation and storage of abandoned, wrecked, disman-
tled or inoperative vehicles or parts thereof is found to
create a condition tending to reduce the value of private
property, to promote blight and deterioration and to be in-
jurious to the health and safety and general welfare.
Section 4201
B. Maintenance of premises so out of harmony or conformity with
the maintenance standards of adjacent properties as to cause
substantial diminution of the enjoyment and use or property
values of such adjacent properties. Section 4230(t)
SECTION 2. The property owner is ordered to abate the nuisance
within thirty (30) days by the following methods:
A. Removal of all inoperative dismantled vehicles and auto parts
from the property or storage within a completely enclosed
building.'
B. Removal of all miscellaneous items including scrap metal,
scrap. wood, unused appliances, crates, etc. from all yard areas.
SECTION 3. If said abatement is not accomplished by the expir-
ation of thirty (30) 'days, the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to cause said public nuisance to be abated by City forces or
private contractor pursuant to the Municipal Code.
SECTION 4, The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of
this Resolution to be served on the owner of said premises pursuant
to the Municipal Code.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
