AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 7-271, (MEMBERSHIP) AND 7-272 (TERM
OF MEMBERSHIP) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
PERTAINING TO THE TAX INCREMENT FINANCING COMMISSION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 7-271, (Membership) of the Code of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 7--271. Membership.
The tax increment financing commission is to be composed of eleven members of which
six members, to be appointed by the mayor, with the consent of a majority of the council, to serve
without compensation for terns of four years except as provided hereinafter, which members shall
be referred to as the "board".
From time to time, when the designation of a specific redevelopment area or the approval
of a redevelopment plan or project, or an amendment to an existing redevelopment area, plan or
project, or an amendment to an existing redevelopment area,plan or project is proposed, an eleven
member commission shall exist for the purpose of considering such proposal.
Membership on such eleven member commission shall consist of the board; twv
members who are to serve by appointment of Cale county; two members who are to serve by
appointment of the school boards whose districts are included within the redevelopment
area plan or proiect,• and one member who shall be appointed by the other affected districts
in any manner agreed upon by them to represent all other districts levying ad valorem taxes
within the area selected for a redevelopment project or the redevelopment area.

Section 2. Section 7-272, (Term of Membership) of the Code of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby amended to read as follows:

Sec. 7-272. Term of Membership.
The terms of the six members appointed by the City shall be for four years except as
hereinafter provided. Initially two members shall serve for a term of two years;two members shall
serve for a term of three years; and two members shall serve for a term of four years. After the
initial terms are served,the terms of the members shall each be for four years.
The two members of the eleven member commission who represent the county, the
two members who represent the school boards,and the one member who represents all other
taxinp_d stricts shall serve for a term to coincide with the length of time a redevelopment
proiect, redevelopment plan, or designation of a redevelopment area is considered for
approval by the commission. Such term shall begin upon notification to the school district or
taxing jurisdiction of the project and shall terminate upon final approval of the project, plan
or designation of the area by the council.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval. /
