A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH H.P.
AUTOMOTIVE & TOW SERVICE, INC. TO PROVIDE TOWING SERVICES TO THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD
~"` WHEREAS, the City is interesting in obtaining a highly qualified professional
i towing service provider; and

WHEREAS, the City desires to generate revenue that would allow the City to
recover costs associated with providing towing services; and
WHEREAS, the towing service provider must effectively and efficiently serve the
citizens of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, a Review Committee consisting of City management evaluated four
(4) towing proposals on fee proposal, experience, equipment, and ability to perform all
required tows within a reasonable time frame; and
WHEREAS, based financial overviews and on-site inspections, the Review
Committee selected H.P. Automotive & Tow Services, Inc. as the most qualified towing
service provider; and as the provider that would be economically beneficial to the City;
and
WHEREAS, the City will generate approximately $49,256 in revenue annually
from H.P. Automotive & Tow Services, Inc., as its towing service provider.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the selection of H.P. Automotive &
Tow Service, Inc. to provide towing services to the City of Lynwood.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute athree-year agreement with H.P.
Automotive & Tow Service, Inc. approved as to form by the City Attorney.
Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16~h day of December, 2008.
