A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO LETNER ROOFING CO. AS THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE
BIDDER, IN THE AMOUNT OF $104,780 FOR THE TEEN CENTER ROOF
REPLACEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 4011.67.877; AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
h"' WHEREAS, the Teen Center Roof Replacement Project No. 4011.67.877, is
scheduled for completion during Fiscal Year 2008-2009; and
' WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood adopted the contract
documents for said project on October 21, 2008, and Public Works staff advertised the
project on November 6, 2008; and
WHEREAS, seventeen (17) contractors received project plans and contract
documents; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the Council Chambers on December 3,
2008, and that the Director of Public Works /City Engineer has ascertained that Letner
Roofing Co., was the apparent lowest responsible bidder for its base bid of $104,780;
and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
~„ Section 1. That the contract for the Teen Center Roof Replacement Project,
i Project No. 4011.67.877, be awarded to Letner Roofing Company for its total bid of $
', 104,780.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City Council of the City of Lynwood and Letner Roofing Company.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
